Connect with Michelle MacQueen, Research Assistant
Michelle MacQueen is a PhD student in the Cultural Studies program at Queen’s University. She is originally from Sydney, NS. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Acadia University in Wolfville, NS and she completed her MA in Music and Culture at Carleton University in Ottawa. She is drawn to interdisciplinary work that fosters connections between arts, culture, activism, and social change. During her PhD, she aims to continue researching the links between Canadian music and politics, music’s role in social justice, and music’s ability to spark discussion on politics, identity, and alliances in Canada.
As a Research Assistant at the Centre for Sound Communities, Michelle provides, organizational, administrative, and research support for the Centre’s projects.
