The Experimental Bandura Trio, featuring Julian Kytasty, Mike Andrec, and Jurij Fedynsky, pushed the boundaries of bandura performance from the group’s outset, combining traditional bandura influences with innovative playing techniques. The group’s 2000 album, which is discussed in the review linked below, succeeded in “[bringing] the bandura to a more global forum and [raising] its profile from a folk to an Art Music instrument.”
